The entire course of human history has seemed to revolve around one thing; a thing that motivates people like nothing other: the prospect of feeling great and being happy all the time.
But what is the secret behind this grand idea that so many fail to grasp? What can we do to achieve, what some might say, is the unachievable?
It begins, of course, with a belief.
A sort of rebellion, if I can be so bold... it's a willingness to stand up against the tides of negativity and say: NO. It IS possible. Happiness is achievable. It is achievable NOW, and it is achievable BY ME.
To even begin to do this, you must let go of your pride, and any preconceived notions about happiness or imagined requirements. Believe me when I say: there are no requirements for happiness, only a willingness to feel good.
You don't need money, or sex, or fame... or sex; all these things are nice, but they will not make you happy if you are determined to be miserable.
If you want these things, that's great - but it's a lot easier to get them if you're already happy.
So make happiness your default. Enough with the sad-sack behavior, enough with the moaning and groaning, the striving or desiring: you may think these things help you along your journey, but they are exactly what holds you back.
See, when you sit there and wallow in self-pity, or jealousy, it feels like you are getting somewhere... but really all your doing is multiplying your sad state.
At that point, the only thing you are getting is more pain, more sadness, more lack.
Think of it like a new workout routine. If you want to get strong, you have to train the required muscles, right? It doesn't matter how much you complain, or how much you want it, you won't get strong unless you work at it.
The same applies to feeling good.
Here's the secret:
If you want to be happy, if you want to feel good, you need to start training your happiness muscles. And you need to do it every. single. day.
What does this look like?
Well, it looks a lot like getting up off your fat ass, and taking action.
Not just any action (this is important), you have to take right action. Your intent must be pure. You must spread the light.
Seem hard? Complicated?
It is. In a world of negativity, not everyone will want you to be happy.
The trick? Keep at it.
To get to where you want, you must continuously take action to improve your life and, perhaps more important, the lives of those around you.
You must stop trying to take happiness, and start giving it.
Well, it goes without saying that only those who have, can give.
But what most don't know, is that the opposite is equally true: only those who give, can have.
Have what, you may ask?
Happiness. Prosperity. Everything you've ever wanted.
Don't believe me? Try it. Make someone happy. Just once, and see how you feel.
If you like it (and you will) then try it for a few days, a week, or a month. At that point, you'll really start to see results; you won't want to go back.
People will try to make you, but don't let them.
Be the positive force, the light shining in the darkness, and the world will thank you.
